How Much Does a Paver Driveway Cost in South Florida?

A paver driveway is one of the best upgrades for a Florida home: it handles heavy rain, does not crack like a slab, and single pavers can be replaced. But prices vary a lot from one quote to the next. Here is what drives the cost, so you can tell a fair price from a bad one.

Typical price ranges

Prices change with materials and the market, so treat these as a starting point and always get local quotes:

  • Standard concrete pavers: often around $12 to $20 per square foot installed.

  • Premium or larger-format pavers: often $18 to $30 per square foot.

  • Travertine or natural stone: often $25 to $45 per square foot or more.

A typical two-car driveway is about 400 to 600 square feet, so most homeowners land somewhere between several thousand and the low tens of thousands of dollars.

What pushes the price up

  • Removing an old driveway. Breaking out and hauling away concrete adds labor and dump fees.

  • Base work. Soft or sandy soil needs more compacted base rock. Skipping it is how driveways sink.

  • Patterns and borders. Herringbone, curves and soldier borders mean more cuts.

  • Drainage. Slope corrections or a trench drain add cost but prevent flooding.

  • Permits and HOA rules. Some cities and HOAs require approval, plans or specific colors.

How to compare quotes

  • Ask each pro for the base depth and material. Six inches of compacted base under a driveway is common; a much thinner base is a red flag.

  • Check that removal, edge restraint, joint sand and cleanup are included.

  • Ask whether sealing is in the price, and when it should be done.

  • Compare the warranty on workmanship, not just the paver brand.

On CSI Elite Services you can post your driveway project once and compare quotes, reviews and licenses from local paver pros side by side.
