Rewards and Referral Terms

In short: You earn 1 point for each US dollar you actually pay CSI for store orders and plans. Points become usable 14 days after the payment, if it has not been refunded. 500 points turn into US$10 of store credit. If you refer a friend, they get 5% off their first payment and you get store credit worth 5% of it, once their payment clears. Points and credit have no cash value, can be used for part of a CSI Store order only, and can be lost if the program is abused. We can change or end the program with notice. This summary is not part of the binding terms below.

1. These terms

1.1. These Rewards and Referral Terms govern the CSI rewards program (the "Program"). They are part of the Terms of Service. Words defined in the Terms of Service have the same meaning here.

1.2. The Program is free and optional. Any User with an account in good standing may take part. CSI staff and their households may not earn referral credit.

2. Earning points

2.1. You earn 1 point for each whole US dollar you actually pay to CSI through PayPal for CSI Store orders and Paid Plans (the amount actually charged, after any discount, gift card or credit is applied).

2.2. You do not earn points on purchases from Pros (Seller Sales), on gift cards bought or redeemed, on amounts paid with points, credit or gift cards, or on payments that are refunded or reversed.

2.3. Points are first shown as "pending". They become "available" 14 days after the payment is captured, if the payment has not been refunded, disputed or reversed. If a payment is refunded, disputed or reversed after points become available, the points are removed, and if you have already used them, the value may be deducted from your balance or from a refund.

3. Using points and credit

3.1. Every 500 available points convert to US$10 of store credit. Conversion happens automatically when you spend at checkout.

3.2. Store credit and points can be used only for products sold by CSI in the CSI Store. They cannot be used for Seller Sales or (unless checkout says otherwise) for plans.

3.3. Credit can pay for no more than 20% of an order total, and only on orders of at least US$50.

3.4. Points and credit have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged for cash or gift cards, or combined between accounts, except where the law requires otherwise.

4. Referrals

4.1. Your account has a personal referral link. When someone opens your link, a cookie remembers the referral for 30 days (see the Cookie Policy).

4.2. If that person creates a new account and makes a first payment to CSI while the referral is active: (a) they receive 5% off that payment at checkout; and (b) you receive pending store credit equal to 5% of the amount they actually paid. Your credit becomes available 14 days after their payment, if it has not been refunded, disputed or reversed.

4.3. You cannot refer yourself. Referrals are not valid if the referrer and the new user share the same person, email address, PayPal payer account, payment method, device or household in a way that suggests self-referral, or if the new user already had an account.

4.4. You must share your link only with people you know, or in ways that are lawful and honest. You must not spam, buy ads on CSI's brand names, post your link on coupon or deal sites, or make false claims about CSI. If you share your link publicly, make clear that you receive a reward.

5. Abuse and forfeiture

CSI may withhold, reverse or cancel points, credit or referral rewards, and may remove you from the Program, if it reasonably believes you have abused the Program, including by fraud, fake accounts, self-referral, manipulation of refunds or disputes, or breach of these terms or the Terms of Service. Points and credit also end if your account is closed for breach.

6. Expiry

Points and credit do not expire while your account is open, unless we give you at least 30 days' notice of an expiry rule that applies going forward. Any expiry period will be at least as long as the law requires.

7. Changes and ending the Program

7.1. CSI may change the Program, including the earn rate, conversion rate, limits and referral rewards, or end it, by giving at least 30 days' notice by email or on the Platform. Changes do not affect points or credit already available before the change takes effect, except to the extent the notice gives you a reasonable period to use them.

7.2. If we end the Program, you will have at least 30 days after the notice to use available points and credit.

8. Taxes

You are responsible for any tax that applies to rewards you receive.
